Who we are
In 1966 after the collapse of his bistro franchise, Sam N Ella
was looking for new investments when he joined up with precision driving team hero Anton deRhode. 
After talks wherein they recognised the lack of a reputable "class car" dealer ship here in Sydney, run by "Italian exotic vehicle enthusiasts", their thoughts gave birth to the Aphrodite of their business dreams and Flamingo-a-go-go became the love of their lives.
The road to glory was not to be paved with gold. There were many mishaps and delays due to the dockyard strikes of the late 1960s and union problems in the '70s, none of which did anything to favour the reputation of the vehicle importer. They turned to dealing in pre-loved exotica just to build up the business and soon found that these not only sold well but were excellent hire cars prior to sale and another love affair began to blossom.
But the sales department was still a loss leader. Calling in receivers Uri Namess and Co they were thinking of closing the doors for the last time when Anton happened to meet the heart broken millionairess Lotta Doe who had recently lost her dear husband, the elderly German industrialist Gunner Croke. Romance soon followed and with Lotta's financial rescue, "business affairs" were soon on the front foot, this time to stay.
About this time, a Sicilian named Don Corleone, met a Spanish-American woman holidaying in the Mediterranean. She 
ran an highly successful hire car service on the Spanish mainland, renting out only Mercedes cars. They fell deeply in love thus Don and the very lovely Mercedes Steele merged their exploits. Don also opened a spray painting business in Toledo and Mercedes soon became his best "customer" as well as his personal confidante.
Whilst holidaying in Australia to escape the heat that summer, they met Sam and Anton at a Sydney nightclub and decided to emigrate to Australia where they considered it would be cooler. Don and Mercedes became firm friends with Sam, Anton and Lotta so they soon combined their business interests and with Don Corleone in charge of maintenance and Italian imports as well as being appointed as the new complaints manager of Flamingo-a-go-go they had no more complaints nor, funnily enough, did they have any more late orders. Mercedes, with her uncanny knack of cutting costs still manages the hire car subsidiary for Flamingo-ago-go, our most successful enterprise to date.
